JESENICKY TYDENIK
17. 7. 2007
A man seemingly comes to certain places by chance, but only later do they discover that it was
the only time and
the only place they could come to.
(A quotation from a book by Kamil Bednar
“Zahrada pritelkyne” that was so impressively presented by Radovan Lukavsky on Saturday).
The place was the pilgrimage site of Virgin Mary the Helper by Zlate Hory, and
the time was Saturday, 14 July 2007.
On that day, the lovers of classical music and people of good will met to show they were not indifferent to the heritage of our ancestors.
Along with Radovan Lukavsky and K. M. Nosticz quartet, they wanted to push the reconstruction and restoration of the national cultural monument of St. John the Baptist in Horni Udoli near Zlate Hory a small step forward. Father Stanislav Lekavy had a nice wish at the end of the concert. “I would be delighted if any of the artists who have been giving their performances at this place for five years in order to do their bit has the opening concert at this church.“
Those who gave precedence to a different event can only regret. Radovan Lukavsky’s unique voice and moving tones by Nosticz quartet will long stay in the hearts of the people in attendance.
But as it usually is, all that glitters is not gold. The organizers of the Saturday evening were surprised by the indifference of the guests in Priessnitzovy lecebne lazne a.s. A special bus left Preissnitz Sanatorium completely empty. The local offer was probably more attractive than the presence of a legendary actor and the help to the neighbours.
Never mind, maybe we will meet next year at the
same time at the
same place.
If at all possible, Radovan Lukavsky will please us again with his presence. We wish him good health, and we are looking forward to meeting him and you, our readers, next year at the pilgrimage site of Virgin Mary the Helper by Zlate Hory.
The organizers – the pilgrimage site of Virgin Mary the Helper and JartAgency – would like to sincerely and truly thank Ing. Cyril Svozil who has become the patron of the concerts held at the pilgrimage site of Virgin Mary the Helper.
