ECHOES 2006
Art committee awarded prizes to four participants of the Courses
- Asta Kvasyte will take part in the Piano Courses with a full scholarship that
was awarded to the student by Antonín Kubálek’s family – for the interpretation
of Sonata no. 3 by Paul Hindemith
- Karolina Kubalek and Richard Pohl were awarded “Bravo, Mozart” prize for an
outstanding interpretation of a composition by W. A. Mozart, i.e. they were
awarded a scholarship for two weeks’ participation in the 5th year of Antonín
Kubálek Piano Courses in 2007. Karolina presented the first movement from Piano
concert in A major KV 488, and Richart Pohl interpreted Rondo A major KV 386,
including his own cadence. The rendition of this composition was prepared in co-operation
with Ivo Kahánek.
- The opening concert held on 10 July 2007 was given by Martin Pokorný - he was
awarded the prize due to an outstanding interpretation of Fryderyk Chopin’s work.
ECHOES 2005:
ATTENTION!!! Student of Lithuanian Academy of Music Robertas Šiurys was
recognized to be the most rounded pianist of piano courses in 2005. He was
awarded a scholarship for the attendance in courses in 2006. The prize for the
best interpretation of a composition by a Czech author was not awarded as one
participant only was involved.
ECHOES 2004:
ATTENTION!!! In the framework of his concert tour Antonín Kubálek presented
young artists from Brno and Prague.
Birute Biževičiute was again recognized to be the most rounded pianist of the
courses in 2004. She was given the opportunity to open a meeting of young
pianists in Zlaté Hory in 2005 by her own recital. Unfortunately, Birute had to
reject the offer due to family reasons. Another awarded pianist was Richard
Pohl, who was given a prize for the best rendition of a composition by a Czech
author.
ECHOES 2003:
ATTENTION!!!
In 2003, art director of the piano courses Antonín Kubálek selected the most
rounded pianist among the course participants. It was Birute Biževičiute from
Lithuania.
On 21 July 2003 in 18.00, a social meeting was held in the Embassy of the
Republic of Poland with a recital given by Antonín Kubálek as the high point of
the meeting. At the invitational meeting a book called “Děti neklidné Evropy”
was presented. The book tells the story of Antonín Kubálek’s life. It was
published under the patronage of Ramiro Cibrian, the head of the European Union
delegation in the Czech Republic. The meeting was given by the Embassy of the
Republic of Poland, Art agency J+I and Polish Cultural Institute, and it was
backed by the Canadian Embassy and AUSTIN company.
