Robertas
Siurys * 1981 Mazeikai (Latvia)

He started to play the piano at the age of 6. He studied at the Mažeikai
Music School; later at Šiaulai Conservatoire, and finally at the Lithuanian
Music and Theater Academy (prof. A. Zvirblyte). During his studies, he took part
in several competitions.
He was awarded
2nd prize at „Music Without Limits“ in Druskininkai, 3rd prize
at „IV International Piano Duo“ in Kaunas and 3rd prize at „Accompanist Contest“
in Vilnius.
In 2003 he played with the Lithuanian National Symphonic Orchestra Liszt’s 1st
Piano Concerto in E flat major at the Lithuaninan National Philharmony.
He is studying at the „Institute di Porto“ (Portugal) now.
Robertas Siurys is a first year M. A. degree piano student in Lithuanian
Academy of Music and Theatre (prof. A. Zvirblyte). In 2001 he graduated from
Siauliai Conservatoire (teacher R. Lukosius). During his studies Robertas
succeeded in the students competition to perform with the National Symphony
Orchestra and played F. Liszt Concerto No. 1 Es – Major at the National
Philharmonic (conductor R. Servenikas).
In 2003 R. Siurys became a Second Prize winner of the International Piano
Competition “Muzika be sienu” (“Music without limits”).
Recently Robertas studies at “Instituto Politechnico do Porto, ESMAE” as Esamus
exchange programe student.
He received The prize for the most artistic participant in International
Kubalek piano courses (2005; Zlate Hory, Czech republic)
